LSJ Article: “Dimondale landmark used in movie”
DIMONDALE – Those who went to the screening of the new independent film “Buffalo” might have been surprised to see a familiar face.
Dimondale Village President Mike Chappell and his restaurant “Mike’s Village Restaurant” at 115 N. Bridge Street are featured in a scene.
“There’s a great shot of the place on the outside,” he said. “I had to close the place for a full day but I didn’t mind helping out.”
Award-winning Lansing-based director, writer, actor, producer and film editor Michael McCallum screened his latest flick, “Buffalo,” for a week starting Sept. 21.
The film was shot in various Lansing and mid-Michigan locations, including Dimondale. Continue reading
